Accessories to MURDER

I've not played or tested this at all, but it hypothetically should work ok and can easily be refined/modified once it's been played a bit. Requires pen, paper and a die.

Each number on the die represents a different pirate accessory (example list to start off below). Take in turns to roll and first one to collect at least one of all of the pirate accessories wins, and is therefore the Captain.

On your turn you can choose to either:

Roll the die. You gain the item corresponding to the number you roll. If you already had that item, you've got another one of them now.

Offer to trade with a fellow pirate/player to get items you need. Example, you offer Richard your 2 extra eye patches in exchange for one of his swords. Richard then either accepts the trade and it takes place, or chooses to decline and no exchange of items takes place.

Challenge another pirate to duel for any one of their items. At this point each of the two players concerned rolls the die. Whoever rolls highest number wins the duel and therefore takes or retains the item. If both players roll the same number the duel is cancelled. If challenged to a duel you cannot refuse. (Can't decide if the player challenged to duel can counter challenge to win something belonging to the challenger, as well as retaining the item they're challenged for. We could try it out and see what works best)

Optional extra: before starting play, each player names their forfeit to the group (e.g. sing a sea shanty, draw me a picture of my ship). The winner/Captain can then command the other players/their crew to perform that forfeit.

I guess you could play with as many players and accessories to collect as you like, only thing to consider is the more of either of those you have, the longer and more difficult the game will become. Can also be easily modified to other, non-pirate themes.
